Nurse Residency IRB approved study
Posted about 4 years ago by Sophie Harris
Hello Colleagues
Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital has IRB approval for a research study to assess employer perceptions regarding new graduate registered nurse readiness for practice post-COVID-19. To participate, please click the link to the slightly modified Casey-Fink survey.

This is a follow-up study to one done just prior to COVID’s impact on clinical rotations. Since many graduates had limited ability to engage in clinical activities with actual patients, this study could provide interesting insight to the effectiveness of simulation in preparing nurses for practice.
Please forward to colleagues in your organizations who educate, lead or precept new graduate nurses. Don’t hesitate to contact Denise McNulty (dsmcnulty@houstonmethodist.org) or Keeley Harmon (kcharmon@houstonmethodist.org) with any questions. I know we have all had many surveys sent our way, but I believe this one will add to the NPD body of knowledge.
Thank you.
